John Quigley - Founder of Special Q
John Quigley is an award-winning artist, producer, conservationist, and environmental advocate. He is the co-founder of the Cañón de Guadalupe Oasis Conservation Land Trust in Baja California. His recent conservation work also includes the 'Campaign to Restore the South Central Farm' in Los Angeles and the development of the eco-retreat Serapta in Southern France.
As Founder of Spectral Q he brings communities together to create large-scale messages for the common good utilizing a unique mix of human installation and aerial photography. His body of work has been profiled in the London Sunday Times Magazine and has appeared in hundreds of media outlets around the world. He has created numerous environmental celebrity influencer videos and in 2012 co-founded Counterspill.org in response to the BP oil spill which won multiple Webby Awards.
He currently serves as a board member of the Environmental Media Association (EMA), the Whaleman Foundation and as an Amazon Watch Ambassador.
