Part Used: Seeds & Leaves
Seeds: For intestinal worms and parasites. Seeds contain an enzyme, which helps break down food. Useful for indigestion and upset stomach due to over eating. Used fresh or dried.
Leaves: Use as a tea for treatment of Dengue Fever with Ginger and Quassia amara.
Note: Leaves are edible when young as a potherb as well as mashed an applied to clothing stains. The latex can be used to dissolve warts. The fruit is beneficial for indigestion and is a great first food for babies. Seeds can be crushed, diluted and applied to the skin to help with acne and clogged pores. The fruiting tree resembles ancient full-breasted Goddess figures, displaying the tree’s feminine nature rich with nourishing fertility.
